مقدمة:
وفقاً لرؤية جامعة جدة الجامعة السعودية الحديثة وبناءً على توجهات وزارة التعليم نحو البحث والابتكار المرتبطة بالأولويات البحثية الوطنية لهيئة تنمية البحث والتطوير والابتكار، وفى ضوء تطلع الوزارة للتركيز على الأبحاث التطبيقية والابتكارية والاستفادة من التعاون الدولي ضمن البرامج البحثية ليتم التدرج من الاكتشاف إلى التطوير ومنتهيا بالتتجير.
لذا وضعت العمادة هذه البرامج دعمًا لأعضاء هيئة التدريس لتعزيز مكانة الجامعة وتحقيقاً لرؤيتها وعليه تعلن عمادة البحث والابتكار عن إطلاق برامج متنوعة ومطورة لدعم قدرات الباحثين من أعضاء الهيئة التعليمية والطلاب.
الأهداف العامة للبرامج البحثية:
وضعت عمادة البحث والابتكار أهداف عامة للبرامج البحثية متمثلة فيما يلي:

بناء شراكات بحثية استراتيجية وبيئة حاضنة لهذه الشراكة المستدامة.

إنتاج معرفي مبتكر قابل للتطبيق الصناعي يشارك في الاقتصاد الوطني.
-
دعم الباحثين لإجراء البحوث العلمية وتنمية القدرات البحثية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس.
-
تعزيز بيئة وممكنات البحث العلمي لإيجاد فرص جاذبة لدعم التميز والإبداع والابتكار.
-
رفع الكفاءة البحثية والعلمية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب بجامعة جدة عن طريق زيادة التعاون الدولي مع العلماء الدوليين.

رفع معدل النشر لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعة في المجلات العلمية والعالمية ذات التأثير العالي.

تأهيل الطلاب لاكتساب مهارات بحثية جديدة وتعلم تقنيات علمية متقدمة، ودمجهم في العملية البحثية لغرس ثقافة وقيم البحث العلمي والابتكار.
الضوابط العامة للبرامج البحثية:
-
ستكون أولوية الدعم للمشاريع الموجهة لمجال الأولويات الوطنية (وبالأخص مجال تركيز الجامعة) مع توضيح هذا الارتباط في الجزء المخصص لذلك.

ستكون أولوية الدعم للمشاريع التي لا يكون بها باحثين لديهم مشاريع متعثرة بالعمادة (مضى على توقيع العقد 3 سنوات) وأعضاء هيئة التدريس الذين لم يتم دعمهم من قبل.
-
مدة المشروع هي سنة واحدة من تاريخ استلام الدفعة الأولى وأي مكافآت او دفعات إضافية يتم صرفها فقط في حال اقفال المشروع خلال مدة المشروع.

يسمح بالتقدم على كل برنامج بحد أقصى مرة واحدة كباحث رئيس (عدا برنامج الأبحاث المتميزة فيسمح التقدم بمقترحين كباحث رئيس وفي حال عدم توفر ميزانية كافية لدعم المقترحين ستكون أولوية الإختيار للمقترح الأفضل حسب درجة التحكيم) ومرتين كباحث مشارك.

لا يسمح بالتقدم بأكثر من أربعة مقترحات للعضو الواحد كباحث رئيس على جميع البرامج البحثية، وسيتم استبعاد أي مقترحات بعد ذلك حسب تاريخ التقديم.
-
ضرورة ان يكون مقدم المشروع من داخل جامعة جدة على مرتبة أستاذ مساعد فأعلى.
-
ضرورة ألا يتجاوز عدد أعضاء الفريق البحثي (ويشمل ذلك المستشارين) من خارج السعودية أكثر من نصف الفريق.
-
لا يسمح بالتنازل عن مشروع مدعوم سابقاً من الجامعة للمشاركة بنفس المشروع في البرامج الجديدة.
-
ألا تكون فكرة المشروع مقدمة للحصول على دعم من أي جهة أو مشروع مدعوم داخليا أو خارجياً في السابق. ويمنع تقديم نفس فكرة المشروع في أكثر من برنامج أو مسار، وفي حال تبين ذلك فسيتم رفض جميع المقترحات المقدمة.

ضرورة أن يتمتع المشروع بالأصالة عن طريق اجتيازه لاختبار الكشف عن الاستلال بحيث لا تزيد النسبة عن 15%.
-
يسمح بإضافة باحث جديد دون أخذ موافقة العمادة مع عدم مخالفة بقية الضوابط ، ولا يسمح بالتعديل على مشروع معتمد بخلاف ذلك.

الالتزام باستخدام العنوان الرسمي للجامعة (University of Jeddah) والبريد الرسمي للجامعة (example@uj.edu.sa) على أن يكون هو العنوان والمرجعية الوحيدة لجميع الباحثين من منسوبي جامعة جدة وسيكون الايميل الجامعي هو وسيلة التواصل الرسمية بين الباحثين والعمادة.

ضرورة تزويد العمادة بكل ما تطلبه بخصوص المشروع سواءً كان ذلك على شكل تقارير أو عرض للمشروع أو مشاركة في أي من الفعاليات عند الطلب.

ضرورة ألا يتعارض محتوى البحث وأفكاره مع القيم الإسلامية والتوجهات الوطنية ورؤية الجامعة. وألا يتم التعاون مع جهات أو هيئات لا تتعامل معها الدولة نظاماً، ويتحمل الباحث المسؤولية عن مخالفة النظام.

جميع مخرجات المشروعات البحثية سواء كانت براءات اختراع، أو منتجات أولية، أو تطبيقات، أو غيرها، تعود ملكيتها لجامعة جدة حسب سياسة الملكية الفكرية المعتمدة بالجامعة.

في حال النشر في Web of Science يجب ان يكون البحث من نوع Research Article وأن تكون المجلة المنشور بها مصنفة في أحد التصنيفات الثلاثة:
Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), and Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI)

يلتزم الباحثين بالأمانة العلمية وأخلاقيات البحث العلمي، وتقع على الباحث الرئيس كامل المسؤولية العلمية والقانونية والأخلاقية عن البحث المنشور.

يلتزم الباحثين بإنجاز المشروع في المدة المتفق عليها بالعقد وفي حال مخالفة ذلك يحق للعمادة اتخاذ الاجراء المناسب حيال ذلك.
-
يتم توزيع مكافئات الباحثين وفق اللائحة الموحدة للبحث العلمي.
-
تقع مسؤولية توزيع مكافئات الفريق البحثي على الباحث الرئيس ولا تتحمل الجامعة أي مسؤولية في حال الاختلاف بين أعضاء الفريق.
-
يحق للعمادة تحديث الضوابط والبرامح حسب ما تراه مناسبا وفقا لمصلحة الجامعة.

التنويه بدعم جامعة جدة في المكان المخصص لذلك بالمجلة المنشور بها البحث وحسب الصيغة الخاصة بكل برنامج:

Deanship of Research and Innovation Research Programs 2024
Introduction:
In accordance with the vision of the University of Jeddah, the modern Saudi university, and in line with the Ministry of Education's directives regarding research and innovation related to the national research priorities of the Research, Development and Innovation Authority, and in light of the Ministry's aspiration to focus on applied and innovative research and benefit from international cooperation within research programs that gradually progress from discovery, development, and ultimately end in commercialization.
Therefore, the Deanship of Research and Innovation has developed research support programs to support faculty members to enhance the status of the university and to achieve its vision. Accordingly, the Deanship announces the launch of a variety of advanced programs to support the capabilities of faculty members and students in their research.
General Objectives of the Research Programs:
The Deanship of Research and Innovation has established general objectives for the research programs as follows:
1. Building strategic research partnerships and an incubating environment for this sustainable partnership.
2. Producing knowledge that is innovative, industrially applicable and contributes to the national economy.
3. Supporting researchers to conduct scientific research and developing the research capabilities of faculty members.
4. Enhancing the environment and potential of scientific research to find attractive opportunities to support excellence, creativity and innovation.
5. Raising the research and scientific efficiency of faculty members and students at the University of Jeddah by increasing international contact with international scholars.
6. Raising the publishing rate of faculty members at the university in scientific and high-impact international journals.
7. Qualifying students with research skills and advanced scientific techniques, integrating the culture and values of scientific research, preparing them to make meaningful contributions to society and their respective fields.
General Regulations for Research Programs:
1. The priority of support will be for projects directed to the national priority area (particularly the university’s focus area), with this linkage explained in the section dedicated to that.
2. The priority of support will be for projects that do not include researchers with stalled projects in the deanship (it has been 3 years since the contract was signed) and faculty members who have not been supported before.
3. The project duration is one year from the date of receiving the first payment, and any bonuses or additional payments will be disbursed only if the project is closed during the project duration.
4. It is allowed to apply for each program a maximum of once as a principal investigator (except for the Distinguished Research Program, in which two proposals are allowed to be submitted as a principal investigator. In the event that there is not a sufficient budget to support the two proposals, selection priority will be given to the best proposal according to the judging score) and twice as a co-investigator.
5. It is not permitted to submit more than four proposals for one member as principal investigator for all research programs, and any proposals after that will be excluded according to the date of submission.
6. The project proposer must be from within the University of Jeddah, with the rank of assistant professor or higher.
7. The number of members of the research team (including consultants) from outside Saudi Arabia must not exceed more than half of the team.
8. It is not permissible to waive a project previously supported by the university to participate in the same project in new programs.
9. The project idea must not be submitted to obtain support from any entity or project previously supported internally or externally. It is prohibited to submit the same project idea in more than one program or track, and if this is proven, all submitted proposals will be rejected.
10. The project must have originality by passing the appropriation detection test, so that the percentage does not exceed 15%.
11. It is allowed to add a new researcher without obtaining the approval of the Deanship, provided that it does not violate the rest of the regulations, and it is not permitted to amend an otherwise approved project.
12. Commitment to using the official university address (University of Jeddah) and the official university email (example@uj.edu.sa), provided that it is the only address and reference for all researchers affiliated with the University of Jeddah, and the university email will be the official means of communication between researchers and the deanship.
13. It is necessary to provide the deanship with everything it requests regarding the project, whether in the form of reports, a presentation of the project, or participation in any of the events upon request.
14. The content and ideas of the research must not conflict with Islamic values, national trends, and the university’s vision. Collaboration should not take place with entities or bodies that the state does not deal with according to the law, and the researcher bears responsibility for violating the system.
15. All outputs of research projects, whether they are patents, primary products, applications, or others, belong to the University of Jeddah in accordance with the intellectual property policy approved by the university.
16. In the event of publication in Web of Science, the research must be of the Research Article type and the journal in which it is published must be classified in one of the three classifications:
Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), and Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI.)
17. Researchers are committed to scientific integrity and the ethics of scientific research, and the principal researcher bears full scientific, legal and ethical responsibility for the published research.
18. Researchers are committed to completing the project within the period agreed upon in the contract, and in the event of a violation of this, the deanship has the right to take appropriate action in this regard.
19. Researchers’ rewards are distributed according to the unified regulations for scientific research.
20. The responsibility for distributing the research team’s rewards lies with the principal investigator, and the university does not bear any responsibility in the event of disagreement among team members.
21. The Deanship has the right to update the controls and programs as it deems appropriate and in the interest of the university.
22. Acknowledgment of the support of the University of Jeddah in the space designated for that in the journal in which the research was published and according to the formula for each program:
