وصف البرنامج:

يهدف البرنامج لدعم براءات الاختراع في الجامعة.

المخرجات المتوقعة من البرنامج:

• > تحفيز أعضاء هيئة التدريس على الابتكـار والاختراع.

• > حماية حقوق الملكية الفكرية الخاصة بالمخترع وتوثيقها في القنوات الرسمية.

• > تحسين عمليات الدعم واجراءات لتسجيل لبراءات الاختراع في الجامعة.

• > تحويل براءات الاختراع لمنتجات يمكن تسويقها والاستفادة منها تجارياً.

• > زيادة تركيز الأبحاث الابتكارية في مجال تطبيق المعرفة والشراكة مع الصناعة وخدمة المجتمع.

• > رفع مستوى تصنيف الجامعة في مجال الابتكار بزيادة عدد براءات الاختراع.

الضوابط الخاصة بالبرنامج:

1. الالتزام باستخدام العنوان الرسمي للجامعة (University of Jeddah) والبريد الرسمي للجامعة (example@uj.edu.sa) على أن يكون هو العنوان الوحيد لجميع المخترعين من جامعة جدة.

2. أن تكون جامعة جدة هي الضامن (Assignee) ومقدم الطلب (Applicant).

3. عدم الإفصاح عن الفكرة سابقاً أو قبل تسجيل البراءة رسمياً في أحد مكاتب براءات الاختراع.

4. مدة المشروع هي 12 شهرا من تاريخ توقيع العقد ويمكن ان تمدد الى 24 شهر حسب احتياج إجراءات تسجيل براءة الاختراع.

5. بالإضافة الى تكاليف تسجيل براءة الاختراع، يصرف مكافئة للمخترعين لا تتجاوز 28,000 ثمانية وعشرون ألف ريال سعودي موزعة حسب اللائحة الموحدة للبحث العلمي وتصرف بعد نشر براءة الاختراع في حال تم نشر البراءة بدون تأخير من المخترعين.

6. يتكفل الباحث بدفع مصاريف التسجيل للبراءة من ميزانية المشروع المصرفة له ويرفق ما يثبت ذلك بشكل دوري حسب سير إجراءات الدفع. ويتحمل نتيجة التأخير في ذلك.

7. نظراً لما تتطلبه إجراءات التقديم على براءة اختراع من تواصل مع المخترعين لطلب تعديلات مستمرة حتى الحصول على البراءة، يتم استبعاد أي مشروع مدعوم يتعذر فيه استيفاء أي تعديلات أو التواصل مع المخترعين عن طريق الايميل الجامعي لأكثر من 3 أيام عمل (بدون عذر مبرر) ويكون مقدم الطلب مطالب بسداد جميع ما تم صرفه.

Patent Support Program

Program Description:

The program aims to support patents at the university.

The expected outputs of the program:

•  Motivating faculty members to innovate and invent.

•  Protecting the intellectual property rights of the inventor and documenting them in the official channels.

•  Improving support processes and procedures for patent registration at the university.

•  Converting patents to products that can be marketed and used commercially.

•  Increasing the focus of innovative research in the field of knowledge application, partnership with industry and community service.

•  Raising the level of the University's ranking in the field of innovation by increasing the number of patents.

Program Regulations:

1.  Commitment to use the official name and address of the university (University of Jeddah) and the official mail of the university (example@uj.edu.sa), provided that it is the only address for all inventors from the University of Jeddah.

2.    That the University of Jeddah be the guarantor (Assignee) and the applicant (Applicant).

3.    Not having disclosed the idea previously or before the patent is officially registered at a patent office.

4.    The duration of the project is 12 months from the date of signing the contract and can be extended to 24 months if needed for patent registration procedures.

5.    In addition to the costs of registering the patent, a reward will be paid to the inventors not exceeding 28,000 twenty-eight thousand Saudi riyals, distributed according to the unified regulations for scientific research and paid after the publication of the patent, in the event that the patent is published without delay from the inventors.

6.   The researcher shall pay the patent registration expenses from the project budget allocated to him and shall present proof of this periodically according to the progress of the payment procedures, and bears the consequences of delay in this matter.

7.   When applying for a patent, it is necessary to communicate with inventors to request continuous amendments until the patent is obtained. Therefore, any project that is not possible to communicate with inventors via university email to complete amendments for more than three working days, without a justified excuse, the project will be excluded.
